So Ray Charles would have predicted that SOB would have taken that much from the UPS Machine and they would automate EVERYTHING? Come on pal, that is ridiculous. I am sure you were one of the members who wanted a $10 increase in year one.

Word has it even Stevie Wonder and Jose Feliciano via text message were saying, "they saw it coming."

Hey, Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, and Jose Feliciano see and saw and see far more than those with 20/20 vision. They are true geniuses and great innovators. Please don’t use them in context with our disasters in our Union. Thanks for your consideration on this.

When are we going to actually stop talking tough and begin to open our eyes ? UPS always plans years out. They had been updating their inside operations for years , they always start small and see how it works . In my building they updated/automated the small sort four years ago . That shift went from nearly 50 workers down to 12 . I’ve spoken to people in other states where this has happened also . So how much of a stretch did it take to see this is a company wide plan ?

Hi Buddy, looks like the point your question is an attempt to shift blame. It is not the responsibility of workers to research the companies’ goals over the life of the up coming contract. It is duty of the leadership of our union to use the resources available to them, understand the challenges, develop plans to eliminate or at least limit impact to members. Like someone said, how long does it take develop the technology, build the buildings, install, and test? Instead of blaming workers try google-UPS Technology, “UPS has been a technology company since its founding. Innovation is in our DNA,” said Carol Tomé, chief executive officer at UPS. “We continuously look for ways to leverage technology to improve our employee experience and increase efficiency. This is how we build a better and bolder UPS that will continue to be customer-first, people-led and innovation-driven for years to come.” OZ’s answer, NOTIFICATION! Weak, very weak. Instead of “Just Practicing” this could have been a turning point in labor to show greedy employers we do have the power. Not just money to hire a PR firm to come up with “Historic.”

Yeah pal. Because a bunch of UPS drivers making 120 K a year mortgaged up to their neck won’t strike with a $500 a week strike pay. With so many members paying them a 3rd of what they make will not end well. I know people will say what about the part timers. The majority do not vote or stay with the company. It is always going to be like this.

You have no clue what you’re talking about. We were ready to strike in August. I’ve been with UPS for nearly 20 years and I’ve never seen anything like it. Coming off COVID we had a chance and OZ blew it

I live this shit pal. Just cause you came out of the closet and want to be a union guy now for a week and a half on this website doesn’t qualify you as knowing anything. Your body got two years at UPS. He don’t know anything either.

PAL 25 is defending the indefensible. Come out from under your union official rock and join us where we are losing jobs, being reassigned back into package cars and the hub as contractors continue to move our stuff. WE live it PAL.Stop with your condescending arrogance,

Hi Buddy! Once again, you blame the members! Did I miss the member education around how advanced UPS technology is and possible impact? What I remember are the NDA’s. Yes, I am sure your scenario has some value but just like a strike at any unit someone is always overextended and unwilling to act. So, I guess we should just give up now? Sad how quickly you dismiss part-timers as uncaring or uninvolved. Perhaps if OZ made the $25 start wage a real demand instead of turning it into pie-in-the-sky PR, might have resulted in amplified involvement. Regardless of your attempts at deflection, you can blame all the members you want, but you can never change the fact that NOTIFICATION, is weak, very weak and well below the claim, “Historic”.

They whacked more than half of my part supervisors in my department. They were given 1 month severance and 1 week for every year of service. I don't know how they are going to run with a limited amount of supervisors. These supervisors will be released on April 30th.
