Since I have been a steward, when people ask about being forced in, I tell them not to show. I also tell them to NOT call out. If you call, you are conceding the premise. No one has ever been brought in the office for no calls on these such days... EVER. I made it clear to the managers that they were violating the contract by forcing people in. By the way, the supplement is the language you go by, not the Master. You have a strong contract and don't even know it if you allow this crap.

I thought the inward facing camera was a striking issue. Guess not!

Dana , it’s only a strike issue when we are practicing! Camera’s were a strike issue , PVD’s were a strike issue ! Forced 6th day punch was a strike issue , $25 per hour for part time was a strike issue !

At least they were on the “ Practice strike lines”

The most historic contract ever! Someone posted up a flyer with all the strike issues. Not one of them were achieved. Hate to say it because I have/had a lot of friends in the REAL reform movement but they should be ashamed of themselves. Everyone knows where I come from so they respect me for what I believe but if they don't realize it by now, they are now the problem.

As much as I want to laugh, one thing still resonates with me.... I still won't forget getting thrown out of the Vote No page for no reason at all. Then, Jim Merrit (EX 623 Principle Officer and Hoffa ass kisser) was allowed to join and bash me and then Bill Hamilton's sister was in there throwing jabs at everyone who pointed out Hamilton's past. The Teamsters deserve to fail and I can at least attest that I had no part in it.

Still remember when Joan Elaine Miller becoming a moderator on that page and then poof, I was gone. Hmmmmm, I wonder who made that call.....?

we shouldn’t be advocating for our own organization to fail.

Just how is pointing out the outright falsehoods that have been told surrounding this contract is advocating failure as opposed to informing the members of the facts?

4thgenteamster, your post is a little confusing. I did not read anything advocating for our union to fail, but maybe I am out of the inside baseball game. What I do read in your response is if we disagree with the PR term “Historic Contract” we should just sit down and shut-up. What, we are not allowed to disagree with the great OZ. We are not sellouts like TDU. Where is Ken, David or the steering committee on this issue? Apparently, they are willing to sit down and shut up! Perhaps you should scroll up to the title of this topic, “More UPS 6th Punch Violations.” What are you protecting 4thgenteamster, OZ’s unwillingness to address contract violations? BTW 4thgenteamster, any union officers in the first, second, third or the 4th generation?

                And who was saying that?

As a collective, if the union fails, it was well deserved because of the rhetoric that was spewed by a flawed idiology. Sometimes you got to take a step back and assess who is the problem. It definitely ain't me.

Oh if you only knew. I am just glad she is gone. She was not well liked. The drivers in her center hated her with a passion. She only did 50 stops a day and still screamed about someone helping her with pick-ups. When drivers went out to help, she would be so arrogant. It got to a point where they were sending early am drivers to help with her stops because all the drivers refused to help her. What I believe was happening was, she had someone in upper management vouching for her. She was essentially on the don't touch list from above. When another driver did her route, they had to do 160 stops with pick-ups and still got back before she ever did. One driver told me, she was seen shopping. She would never come to work but when December 1st came, she was out all day collecting tips, even off her route. Management knew this was all going on. The day after Christmas, she would some how be hurt. The drivers called it the Christmas miracle. So, good riddance to a worthy scum bucket who burned all her bridges at PHL.

Exactly. I'm sick of the Nepo-Teamster swagger. Who gives a shit? I don't want anyone shakin' my family tree for fear of what might fall out. Seriously though loyalty is not akin to blind loyalty which appears to be the chief motivater of the Nepo class running our union. Dissent is healthy as for TDU, they really do suck now. They sold their soul like a cheapass street whore. Now more than ever we need dissent .
