UPS has been one of the largest corporate investors in robotics, automated vehicles, Drones and automated material handling. As Carol Tome constantly points out the new agreement gives them five years to work it all out. The new contract language basically gives us the right to bargain effects (severance according to my BA). The UAW and WGA struck over the same kind of tech changes, we spent two years making threats and talking tough but settled for the ability to negotiate severance.
