The other Board members have been pressuring Palmer to resign his Vice Presidents position since he publicly urged a vote no on the UPS contract. This pressure included the TDU contingent, claiming it was disloyal. Guess John had other plans.

From the way I understand it Palmer has to show up to 4 meetings a year to earn that 140,000. He didn’t show up or help at all with the ABF and UPS contracts. He might not have the fat cat salary but he’s definitely gonna get fat working four days a year.

I agree with everything in your statement and will add this. He is a out as successful in organizing as the current IBT and the last administration. They aren’t organizing anything except little bargaining units.

John Palmer has never been elected to his local union for office. He’s never been a steward or in any position where he hast to make decisions. He was a TD retread that was in the right place at the right time in a week southern region that got elected. He’s made quite a career of being irrelevant. Three times I guess he is running for office in his local and been voted to not take over three times decisively. He’s a 72-year-old man that really should retire but there’s really no reason for him to retire because he already collects his pension because he is over 70 years and a half . So it’s in his best interest to keep working, collecting pensions, Social Security, and throw stones, even though he hasn’t been qualified as well as he has, no stones.

The rumor out here is that the dick Stepper is under investigation with the FBI for possible Rico with several biker gangs that provide security for her. To be continued.

So, I respect a guy who calls his shot when no one else does. I also believe whenever this happens people attack the messenger. I for one am glad the conversation has started regardless of who runs or where they run the OZholes must be removed. They rode in on a trojan horse called reform, they nuetered the TDU dog. Let's hope someone puts together a slate of reformers that are not the same old shit in a different sack. I think most of us can see these clowns need to go.
