    More theatrics?

    Ok, I'll try again.

Posted these sediments before, but the IBT reps that have taken over these rank and file pages, deleted my post.

Maybe my concerns hit too close to home?

I'm wondering how much of this latest "walk out" is just more theatrics by UPS and the IBT.

A dishonest effort to delay the disclosure of details and the vote by members.

Why did both sides claim we were very close just a couple days ago, but now the offer is offensive (again)?

And, no details from the IBT, why it's so offensive?

Now, while I'm at it, this whole NDA (non disclosure agreement) signed by every member of the negotiating committee.

First, in 2018, our new leadership was very critical of Hoffa's committee for requiring a NDA. But, now it's good?

Second, systematically there have been "leaks" about all the "good" stuff our committee is winning.

In the real world, "leaks" are generally bad.

In 2018, the leaks were about the union's proposal for 22.4 jobs or the company's proposal for PVDs.

But, this year, the leaks are IBT winning concessions from UPS. But, no IBT concessions.

I am admittedly a guy who has been around for a long time. I am a skeptic. That comes from 40 years of lies and abuse from both UPS and the IBT.

But, what I'm feeling is that these secrets are not good.

Has UPS and the IBT agreed to withhold details from the membership until the last minute, then force a quickie election before the members can properly analyze the affects of the changes.

It feels like a sneaky Hoffa era tactic to IMPOSE the next contract on members.

If the UPS proposal is bad, the IBT needs to tell us the details.

If the UPS proposal is great, UPS needs to disclose the proposal.

Otherwise, I can't help but feel that the members are being sold out again.
(WASHINGTON) — Around 4 a.m., UPS walked away from the bargaining table after presenting an unacceptable offer to the Teamsters that did not address memb

If his name was Hoffa instead of O’Brien TDU and half the members would be screaming about this BROWNOUT !

TDU is now a wholly owned subsidiary of the OZ PR machine. Their only motive is to fill their Convention with members from friendly locals in order to pay their non Teamster non union staff. Why should anyone listen to these outsiders?

This is 100 percent theatrics. This is to scare the small percentage of members that vote on the contract. UPS will present a last, best and final before the expiration date. It will pass. Part timers get hosed again

We're on track for that but a big turnout of part-time could decide it. And yeah its all theatre.

Been saying this for over a month now. These very same people spoke out against censorship (brown-out) and now are practicing what they railed against.

Political oportunists, Fredie Z is the worst. TDU'ers will soon understand that pain in their back is a knife.Fraudie is no reformer.

Don't be suprised if the OZholes wait until the very end to submit a T/A to the members and make us vote in person. This would make it really hard for part-timers to vote. Don't let the OZholes steal your vote....25 DOLLARS OR NO!

I was thinking the same several weeks ago. If a tentative agreement wasn't reached by the beginning of July, they would have to allow for a shoe box voting system which we should never trust.

It looks like the UPS vote will be a la shoe box style similar to the ABF deal.

How are TDUers going to suffer. Half of them are on the payroll, David Levin has an office at the IBT and TDU gets money from the IBT for all this UPS Teamsters United crap. In the next election the owners of Teamsterlink and the staff will probably be offered work at the IBT.

I wonder if the mechanics of the actual vote have been discussed with the National Committee?

That is an excellent question !! With barely three weeks left just how does Oz plan on voting this contract ? Let’s be very aware of any unverifiable way of tallying our votes !

The vote will be conducted in the same shady manner the ABF vote was conducted.

BTW, where are the numbers for and against. TDU always demanded them.

Eventually Teamsterlink will be the one demanding it. We just have to get our numbers up.
