The video from the March meeting where they had the vote on elected stewards is disgusting to watch. This is what Teamster democracy looks like? The officers in charge should be ashamed, but they aren't.
Does this meeting look like the Teamsters can police itself? Admittedly the IDO is useless, but this kind of BS has to be stopped by someone or something.

That locals leadership should be ashamed and actually should have charges filed against them. That was pure intimidation permitted by and possibly sponsored by local leadership!
Yeah, we can police ourselves ,NOT!

TDU once supported these reformers. Are their balls in O'Brien's purse now? Not as much as a whisper about the dickstepper.

Aren't these "Members First Slate" a TDU slate in Vegas? Unless somethings changed wasn't the elected steward vote TDU's idea?

No it is not a TDU slate. As a matter of fact TDU discouraged them from running because the current administration sucks up to their sponsor OZ.

Wasn’t it in TDU’s Bill of Rights that stewards be elected?

Ok, here is what happened, Paff or Puff got his seat at the table BUT the seat was to low so he took all the paper work from the last 3 decades about corruption and wrong doings by people like O’Brien and Zuckerman and printed them out so he can sit on them and reach the table. He included the TDU bill of rights to be sure it would be high enough.

These members are running a very interesting campaign out west. They appear to have been organizing for awhile. The meeting from March was disgusting but the proponants of having elected stewards in the local seem to be the "good guys". If this campaign is not run by TDU than I'm even more impressed by these Rank & File Teamsters.

If I'm mising something or anyone knows more about these folks let me know.

TDU encouraged them not to run as that could jeopardize their relationship with OZ. The same as at 162 in Portland.

Yup that's what happened at 162, good old KP came for a visit and people got played. They realized it when it was too late.

Against their statement of still supporting reform at the local level. But TDU's absence makes the work of the Members First slate more impressive, their doing it on their own Good luck to them.

I watched their videos , read their campaign materials and I can’t believe TDU is not endorsing and helping these people! These are the type of members TDU used to champion and then would.

Good luck to the 631 “Members first Slate!”

Hope they know and would be ready for,

                    TDU’s website posted on June 17, 2026, (https://www.tdu.org/supporting_newly...stitution_2026)

Supporting Newly Elected Leaders: “Under the O’Brien-Zuckerman administration,
reformers who win local union office have received training and support to successfully lead their locals. The Teamsters Convention voted to approve a change to the IBT Constitution to institutionalize this support for newly-elected leaders.”

“The constitutional change requires that all newly-elected officers receive comprehensive training through the New Officer Training & Education (NOTE) program.”

To my knowledge new officer training has been available for decades.
