    Who Moves America

I went to Glendale, CA to see the documentary on the 2023 UPS contract negotiations. I do appreciate the filmmakers for giving light to rank-and-file UPS Teamsters, some I know who come out in the documentary.

the most cringe moments comes when our general president is on screen. A local 804 rank-and-file asks him, “what about the White House?” The general president replies, “Fuck’em. I don’t them not to get involved.” I laughed my ass off so hard knowing that the Biden administration were involved during the negotiation with the special envoy Celeste Drake. That was a lie like how this contract was portrayed as “historic”.

Seeing David Levin of TDU on screen talking to UPS teamsters rank-and-file was another stand out laughter simply because he never worked for UPS.

A lowlight and disappointing moment was when some L804 TDU were at the gates selling the contract.

Glad the filmmakers gave time to those that were skeptical of the contract and showing someone from L177 out at the gates telling their fellow rank-and-file to vote no.

Does the film talk about the historic pension concessions?

If members had any understanding of how much that pension concession really cost them they'd be furious. 90% have no idea how their own pension works and don't count on O'Brien to teach them, it;s easier for him to keep um in the dark.

O'Brien himself is an imbecile when it comes to math. He is bragging about having $360 million in the Strike Fund. That iwouldn't cover two weeks for UPSers.

The pension concessions of the 2023 contract will come back to bite all the pension funds that got a bailout including his shit New England Fund.

It's all sounding like the leadup to the last contract at UPS.

I saw that documentary too. TDU aka Teamsters for a Sit at the Table/TST do play a huge role in the documentary.
Pensions were mentioned but in the context of, “you are guaranteed a pension”.
The documentary doesn’t completely hide criticism of the contract. There is a scene where two L804 members that are also part of TST hierarchy and selling the contract at the gates, they talk to another rank-and-file that is walking into the hub. He tells them that the contract isn’t good enough. One of the TST, who happens to be an organizer for the IBT says, paraphrasing “it is better than the other shit contracts”. The rank-and-file replies, “you just said it, the other contracts were shit and this isn’t much better”. Another rank-and-file member from local 542, who happens to be a driver says, the tentative agreement wasn’t good enough.

I believe that 804 has its own pension which is in very good shape so it will take longer for them to realize just how bad the rest of us got screwed pension wise in this historic contract.

Members need to organize now, O'Brien won't spend that strike fund unless he's made to do it.

If I'm not wrong Tim Sylvester brought the 804 pension back to good health. It was tanking when he came into office.

Can someone answer that question? How many members has “ the organizer of the year” actually brought into the union?

Getting arrested at an Amazon PR stunt now makes you an organizer. Everything else is fake news welcome to the TDU Trump Teamsters.

I hear the Organizer of the year Rosario is being asked to run against the present board. He is the biggest star in that local!
