Thank Teamster walking liability hicks for this case,, after he failed the members twice, costing them 6 months, and then failed them again, now besides being a rip roaring alcoholic, (mostly on the members dime) a known and documented ego maniac, and a lying informant who lied under oath, he has now cost the entire labor movement injury and has done more harm . Oh, and OBrian , and Zuckerman gave him $1,000,000 as a phony reward for his irresponsive behavior. Rumor has it that Oz wants to dump this embarrassing excuse for a Teamster, and for a human being.

Rick Hicks has never recovered from Hoffa’s decision not to allow him to replace Rome Aloise following Rome’s suspension. And even though Hicks supported Hoffa … and Rome in 2016, sour grapes won out in the end as Hicks sided with O’Brien, TDU and Judge Jones to kick Rome out of the IBT. O’Brien rewarded Hicks with $1 million to soften the failed 6-month ready mix strike and, of course the recent failure at the US Supreme Court. I wonder how much O’Brien will give Hicks if he helps suspend or ban Local 117 Secretary-Treasurer John Scearcy?

There are three comments following the Nation's article: the last one hits the nail on the head. It suggests that Hicks could have prevented all this by simply withholding the Teamsters labor BEFORE the trucks were loaded, instead of waiting until AFTER they were loaded. Local 174 Secretary-Treasurer Rick Hicks - if he was any kind of leader at all - should have realized the liability involved in his ego-stroking, tough-guy tactics; then again, who said Hicks was any kind of leader.
