The potential health and safety risks of driver facing infrared cameras are not limited to UPS drivers. These risks apply to any driver exposed to infrared driver facing cameras. There are other Teamster bargaining units working under contracts allowing driver facing infrared cameras.

Maybe, in the interim, until there is a reputable study and determination about any risks, the Union should be demanding such cameras not be directed at the drivers.

Copies of this NIOSH letter and its recommendations will be sent to the Trump Occupational Safety and Health Administration for immediate round filing. End of story. UPS will do nothing and no one will make them.
