The Teamsters, because of the sort of patronage system that always seems to develop, is plagued by followers and kiss asses. But its those who have gone against the grain that have made the union great.

The sad truth is that our union allows opportunistic and often thuggish people to succeed. Not saying there aren't good people out there doing solid work in their locals, but few of them have bigger aspirations because they know the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I certainly ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction after I got a taste of how dysfunctional national politics are. Ron Carey was a once in a century leader. I'm not sure the conditions exist for someone like that to come along anymore.

Taibi is a complete buffoon.

Willie Ford like Juan Campos are not happy with O'Brien.

I don't see any reason to say Ford and Campos are unhappy. Are they not enjoying their multiples? Or more likely they talk about their displeasure outside the meeting room like so many others. Perhaps someone needs to remind them why they were elected. Both seem to think their role is to sit quietly in the corner. At this point there is only one with the balls to not go along. Taibi is hardly worth mentioning, still suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
