These clowns somehow found a way to get caught. Fact is big gifts around retirements, approved by eboards, happen all the time. Members just don't hear about it or most likely don't care. It's almost a Teamster tradition.

The officers of Local 294 were previously the subject of IRB charges involving the exact same issue…the gifting of a car for a retiring officer. The difference this time, is that the president and secretary-treasurer were aware of that case, and instead of disbursing Local 294 funds directly to the retiring president, they concocted a scheme to have the hotel disburse the funds to the retiring president.
