    TDU on Federal Oversight

The IBT and the Department of Justice have filed a joint motion in court to ask for approval on a plan to sunset federal oversight of the Teamsters. What does this mean for the future of anti-corruption efforts and International elections in our union?

A very long way to say "we're okay with whatever O'Brien, and by extension Trump say and do". Happy 250th.

Why do people still care what TDU posts? They are nothing more than a Public Relation source for O’Brien.

Gimliboston9: I care that so many old-timers, rank & file Teamsters have now passed away, and their decades of organizing and struggle to build their (our) Union into a democratic and militant organization is being discarded by TDU leadership. It's sickening. I feel we owe it to those Teamster activist/veterans to set the record straight.

I agree with your sentiment, unfortunately history has been rewritten by the leadership of TDU and trying to set the record straight is near impossible, remember they deleted much of their own history once they endorsed O’Brien. Including the members bill of rights , the salary reports, the mention of multiple salaries and multiple pensions and the silence on O’Brien supporting anti labor politicians.

It's obvious, TDU "leadership" discovered it's easier and more financially rewarding to just go along with it all.
