    TDU "Leaders" explain their strategy

As the union reform organization Teamsters for a Democratic Union turns 50, we spoke to its cochairs about their work building rank-and-file power inside one of the most important unions in the United States.

I would like to ask these two “ organizers” just what is the plan to organize Amazon? How much money has been budgeted for this campaign? What is the number of organizers needed? What locations are targeted for a coordinated campaign to bring pressure on the company? What is the script to be used to convince workers they should join ? How do we combat Amazon offering health care on the first day of employment when union members have to wait months or longer and only after getting a contract? There are many more questions that need to be asked.
      Is there a plan ?
it seems the plan may be the same as the UPS contract campaign plan, all street theater and public relations photo ops. Practice picket lines, practice strikes and of course tough talk for the media.

Let me preface: Don't take the following comments to mean that I am an opponent, or proponent, of any party or anyone mentioned in that article. That's for another time. Now...that article does not read like a flowing conversation at all...as I'm sure it was meant to be implied. The article just ran like a never-ending flier with questions and responses designed by one person. The only thing that the article was missing were the "talking heads". A bit insulting. Yeesh!

Agreed, Nothing but a line of crap about a fictional organizing attempt. A public relation piece.

I noticed the title of this thread had the word leaders in quotations. Everyone knows the Steering Committee is a rubber stamp, KP still calls all the shots.

That piece smacks of a choreographed Levin piece. That steering committee is loaded with wannabe failures.

Again, please don't take my comments as being in support of, or in opposition to, any opinions. Simply, the article as written was an insult to any reader that truly cares to be objective. My opinion of the writer, as well as the publication, is forever..."yuck".
