        This article is about the idea of open bargaining to activate members and keep them informed about whats happening during contract negotiations. It tells the stoy of one Teamster Local without ever mentioning the fact that at our largest union contract, UPS, has a complete information blackout because of the NDA's O'Brien makes every committeee member sign in order to participate in negotiations. What's happening at the Teamsters is exactly the opposite of what Labor Notes and TDU preach, but neither organization has the courage to speak up about it. If your a TDU member and you sit quietly by while this happens you're the problem.
