    Fed Ex

Saw a post saying that Fed Ex employees don’t get to get their overtime tax free. Is this true? If so what about UPS ? I thought it was tax free for everyone?

Any DOT worker operating a vehicle over 10 000 lbs does not qualify for the NO Tax on overtime!

No expert, but the way I read it nothing beyond FLSA will be deductable. Double time or other premiums based on state law or union contracts aren''t eligible. How did unions let that one slip by? Let me know if anyone knows different.

Where’s the IBT’s statement explaining eligibility? You’d assume they know about it with their direct line to the Sec. of Labor and administration party girl Lori Chavez DeRemer.

The FLSA does not exempt an Employer from paying overtime after 40 hours/week if the employee works intra-state only, correct? The FLSA exempts interstate drivers from overtime pay after 40 hours/week (unless overtime is paid pursuant to a CBA or Company policy).

My view is, the Union should recognize a tax system wherein all pay their fair share. Trump's 2017 tax bill and his "one big beautiful (sick) bill" in 2025, blew up any semblance of tax fairness. The wealthy have been getting tax breaks for decades. In the 1950's the corporate tax rate was 52% and top earner individual rates up to 91% - with possible loopholes lowering this to around 42-60%.

Rather than focusing on exempting overtime from taxes, our Union should fight for expansion of overtime pay. Under Obama lower paid salaried workers won overtime pay based on their salary level - Trump's administration reversed these gains.

Is it only me? Dosent this seem like an issue that perhaps our leaders might want to comment upon? If more the 50% of our members allegedly support this president and they have been mislead or at best under informed as to what was put forward as another HISTORIC achievement in their financial bottom line , the elimination of tax on overtime? The mirroring of styles that is growing between Trump and O’Brien is amazing! Both make Historic claims of victories that disappear when we turn on the lights.

Is TDU even a thing anymore? What's their function aside from raising money?
