WTF891...I retired 7 years ago. It would be nice if they could organize in freight. I helped organize UPS Freight in Moonachie

Zuckerman promised that we would spend our oganizing money on our "core industries". Everyone I know thought that to mean Drivers, Warehouusemen, package delivery. There have been isolated wins by locals for grocery and others, but no coordinated effort anywhere in freight (correct me if I'm wrong please). After Yellow it seems freight organizing is over in the union.

No we're not organizing in freight and I just heard Standard Forwarding is shutting down as of today, not that anyone other than the few remaining Teamsters in freight give a damn.

I saw a CT driver yesterday that said he was out of Trenton. He said the Steelworkers were in Secaucus. He said that its not going anywhere.
