we need to stand up with unions and workers

I’ve been reading posts here for a while now. I appreciate the formation of this tool to communicate with engaged Teamsters. I see there are many with decades of experience and knowledge. I’d like to hear what everyone thinks about building toward a broader organization that can unite all workers and get more Teamsters involved. Anyone paying any attention to the news knows the reasons for urgency.

Whatever I know is from listening to radio shows like Work Week, first on KPFA and now on KPOO in the Bay Area. The show is available on SoundCloud. There’s also a related video channel on YouTube called “laborvideo”. The YouTube channel is where I first saw interviews with Mr. Palmer and many other excellent workers, authors,journalists, etc.

I was a member of TDU for two years until I quit. I have been checking out Teamsters Mobilize and watch their YouTube videos.

We can easily get lost in politics of union officials and the sordid history of betrayals and victories alike. I think we have to get more active organizing.
