I think that the Labor Notes writer has O'Brien figured wrongly. He expects that SOB believes that his relationship with Trump will somehow benefit the Teamsters. That is not it at all. SOB is simply straight up MAGA. For SOB, being MAGA is more important to him than doing right by the union that he represents. It's selfish, indefensible and despicable. Trump and most Republicans have always wanted unions to be destroyed.

Yup, a bunch of writers have given O'Brien the benefit of the doubt as if he must care about the union. All the endorsements from people like Labor Notes have made it seem reasonable, now our international union finds itself squarely in the MAGA camp.

!00% Bob that's who this fraud of a labor leader is. Just like Cheeto Mussollni a full blown sociopath totally void of any compassion or sense of humanity. Just another Trump sicophant,

O’Brien thinks of O’Brien, that’s it . He cares about his future not the teamsters future.

I don't think there's an open-and-shut case against English proficiency for truck drivers. Listening to weather alerts or emergency notification, communicating at stops... English may be a safety issue.

Nowhere within does this read: "increasing number of ACCIDENTS CAUSED BY foreign drivers". This transparent use of xenophobia has been a self-serving divisive tactic since forever. Sadly enough, it is used because it does work.

As Teamster GP, O'Brien has sided with any Employer that might claim a driver is unfit to drive, only because his/her English "proficiency" doesn't meet CDL requirements. O'Brien supporting roadblocks for Teamster members that are otherwise CDL qualified. More evidence that O'Brien is not doing the job he was elected to do.

TDU will never admit they were wrong. They have never had more attendance at their events ! Money keeps rolling in. Not to mention that seat at the table.

The issue is even more than siding with employers. (That's wrong enough for a Teamster President.) This is a common tactic employed by SOB. It's a PR tactic. "See? If I can make you feel better than someone else, or better than another group I've then made you feel good about me. In spite of my incompetence. That's all that I need to do." Hoffa's people did the same in the Magazine with "Mexican drivers. Be fearful of the dangerous Mexican drivers. You are so much better than them!" It felt really good for some drivers to hear that "My Teamster President thinks I'm better than a Mexican driver." Child psychology used for the sake of gaining support for the individual making the statement. These PR strategies are used by people that are hired with degrees in organizational behavior and industrial psychology. But, it works. But, O'Brien still sucks.

He's an uneducated punk. The UMass flunkie, too short to play football and a floundering GPA. A rock star rascist suck ass though. Gotta be good at something.

TDU at its finest. Destroying the Union within. Union Busters could have a field day with this sight. TDU sucks
