Not to suggest anything to the brain trust at TDU, but when you've lost the most famous woman in your movement it might be time to reivaluate your O'Brien endorsement. Don't ya think?

Precisely my thoughts as well (as I've previously stated earlier). Thank you Diana!

agreed , yet she gives Paff free pass, she refused to admit he still calls the shots at TDU. She claims he is very busy with his “ role” at Labor Notes and has started a new endeavor that takes him away from TDU, I call bull shit ! Just watch him lobby at the convention to elect his choices for the steering committee as he has always done to control TDU through them.
He 100% endorses O’Brien because he thinks he has a seat at the table , his words!

I just read her reply to someone on Facebook, she said exactly that! Paff is busy according to her. She is correct in her assessment of the present TDU yet she can’t bring herself to admit that Paff is now chasing the money and the
perceived status he thinks he has with Oz.

Ya'll gotta give Diana a break here. What she is "guilty" of is speaking her feelings without name calling and throwing out self-serving offensiveness. Relying on name calling is counterproductive. She gave a very objective opinion. Personally, I think that she is spot on. That letter was difficult for her to write as was some of my criticisms of TDU. Ya'll should take a lesson from her. Peace (sort of).

What name calling are you speaking of? I don’t see any.

The letter was difficult for her to write ? Ageed! It must be difficult to write about a great organization that has virtually turned its back on everything they stood for. They were a beacon of truth and fearless reporting of wrong doings within the Union. Now they turn a blind eye to every misdeed O’Brien does. It is no longer an organization worthy of support. It offends me that people claim they have simply become an educational source, if they can no longer expose injustice who wants THEM educating our members?

Dear Sister Diana, I have great respected for your courage and actions. You have a long history of “Sometimes, shit has to be said.” The “Mother Trucker” movie and the TDU video of the Teamster Convention, when it wasn’t easy to standup to power, you said (Paraphrased) If you can’t police yourself, then you must be doing something wrong!

I believe the two positions you stated, TDU supports and provides cover for O’Brien’s about face love fest with the most antiunion/antiworker President and TDU continues to educate members are both true.

However, educating Rank & Filers to know and protect their rights from the bottom up while backing those at the top and their actions to destroy worker rights (Project 2025) is the shining example of TDU’s present day Split Personality. In medical terms, a dissociative identity disorder (DID) a condition where you have two or more separate personalities that control your behavior.

On one hand TDU pretending to care about worker rights while on the other hand TDU willingly participates in the annihilation of those rights.

“Sometimes, shit has to be said.” Unless it’s the truth, then today’s T-unDemocratic-U shuts you (Palmer) down! Shame on you TDU, shame, shame, shame!

There is nothing complicated here. The TDU always reserved the right to refuse membership. They were always funded by the wealthy foundations that hate unions rather than the membership. The TDU always partnered with the government over the union. And now that the government is the union, there is no need for TDU. They got what they wanted. A one-party system. A top-down oligarch that does not have to take any direction from them. They were too cute and now they're out. They are an organization that was never truly built on principles....just power. They did the bidding of the government, and now the union is toothless.....just as the government wanted. Good job Diana. And as far as Palmer is concerned, he got what he deserved. He refused to see what was going on and could of been one of the good guys. This is all very boring as all of you allow the once great teamsters sink deeper into obscurity.

Diana should figure out which side of the fence she's on. If you go back and read her posts, she praises O'Lyin and his minions. Now he's the anti christ? If you follow the 399 FB page, she thinks the sun shines out of the dickstepper's ass and as we all know, the dickstepper's alliance doesn't fall far from O'Lyin's ass. Well Diana, is this your final opinion or will you change your mind again about SOB and TDU?

She really can't figure out how to take a stance so just pontificate to a point where it becomes confusing phsycobabble. I respect her service to this union but she's trying to stand on a barbed wire fence. Figure it out.
