Focus on the 850,000 Teamsters that aren’t UPS

There is more to the Teamsters then UPS.

UPSers don’t even vote on their contract, but yet they get the most attention.

There’s a lot more to the Teamsters then big brown. I am a bakery driver we were one of the first groups to organize with the Teamsters way back when it was T.D.I.U back in 1896.

The international doesn’t care about anyone outside of UPS it’s been that way for the last 25+ years. Oz came up to my area a couple months ago and they didn’t even bother to visit anyone except UPS.

You are 100% correct. O'Brien who never worked a day at UPS could give two shits about the other 850,000 Teamsters.

Right now 180 Teamsters from four Local unions (90, 120, 554 and 238) are preparing to strike Aramark as early as January 27.

Teamsters have contracts all over the country with Aramark. These are some of the units we need to pay attention to. Teamster Locals unlike other Unions have large numbers of smaller type units. Every Teamster believes their contract is the most important and to them and their families it is. Locals need help to make sure that these smaller units are protected just like the larger ones. Hopefully other Locals with Aramark contracts will be able to assist if this ends in a strike.

According to the News feed the latest company offer was rejected by 87%. Will they strike? Will pickets be extended to other than the four locations in question?
