So local 251 teamsters united announced their slate seems like they shuffled some people around ! So wondering what there chances are getting elected ? Since I hear of another slate giving them a run for there money

I worked with most of the 2025, Local 251 United Slate over the nine years I was Contract Coordinator/ABA and BA, my last term. I recognize most as members that have worked hard, that want a strong and democratic Local 251. However, Taibi has radically changed since being put on the OZ Slate. He is like a different person and I will say, his first allegiance is to Sean O'Brien and his allies. This is the same Matt Taibi that led the former Local 251 United Action Slate in 2013 when O'Brien threatened to punish anyone that ran against former Local 251 Principal Officer, Joe Bairos. O'Brien was suspended for that threat.
Then, in the 2016 IBT Convention, O'Brien's Local 25 Delegates screamed at Taibi while he spoke at the mic on the Convention floor, calling him a scab, among many other vile names. Now they are allies and I am not aware of any open dissent among the current slate members. They dropped the word "Action" from the Slate name. The current opposition (The Local 251 Integrity Slate) includes three members I believe truly want to change the dynamics at Local 251. If elected members sit on their hands when they could be open about their concerns, they are not doing what they were elected to do. So, I will assume the Local 251 United Slate members are not too concerned about the direction of Local 251 under Taibi. That's their right, but if I were still an active member, I would not cast my ballot for them. I would bullet vote the three members of the Local 251 Integrity Slate. Some of the members of the Local 251 United Slate I consider friends, so these words are not written easily, but life's too short to not speak up.

I’ve been a Teamster for quite a while. I don’t see the “Integrity” Slate having enough support or power to win the 3 positions they seek.
