Is Sean O'Brien Donald Trump's favorite union leader?

BOSTON—Is Sean O’Brien, elected as an insurgent as Teamsters president almost four years ago, the favorite union leader of Republican President Donald Trump these days? The question becomes increasingly relevant as more and more of Labor takes a leading role in the fight against the MAGA movemen...

The answer? It sure looks that way. I don't see any other Union General Presidents praising Trump's anti-worker, racist, misogynistic, agenda and practices. And the impact of O'Brien's praise of Trump's actions are setting the Teamsters and the entire US labor movement back decades. As a teenager, I was and remain a big fan of topical songwriter Phil Oches (RIP). Of his many great songs, "Links On the Chain" stands out in my mind as among his best. Some of the craft unions of the American Federation of Labor barred membership to African Americans and other people. My old Local 504 had a 1950 contract with Carter Rice, Storrs & Bement Paper Company that included a lower wage rate for a job classification titled "Women". It was deleted in the next contract after that.

The attached recording of Links On the Chain from Phil Oches album titled "I Ain't Marching Anymore" is very relevant to O'Brien's sorry ass appeasement and support of Trump. Take a listen and see if you agree.

I get why he is attempting to do but is misguided and doesn’t align with our principles
