Now compare that to IATSE's statement. IATSE understands the principles of solidarity, they don't want to undermine their Canadian members. Makes me think if SOB cares about solidarity.

So let me get this straight, making Americans pay more to go to the movies will bring movie making back to the United States ?

What he doesn't seem to understand is that there are Canadian movie Teamsters as well. Apparently he doesn't care about those members if they were to lose their jobs. The dickstepper doesn't represent those members as the division director according to that statement.

I wonder how many of our Canadian brothers and sisters will support the O’Brien/Trump partnership? I also wonder if it will sponsor them to vote en masse for ANYONE that opposes O’Brien. They could control their own ( and our) future if they simply turn out and vote. It worked in their election !

O"Brien's self-serving, defeatist, right wing, strategy: Suck up to Trump and his ruling class bloodsuckers, throw a few dubious crumbs to one craft in the Teamsters, and call it: "Boldly supporting good union jobs." It's a bankrupt, immoral, and useless strategy, that further divides the workers in this global (like it or not) economy. It's as short-sighted and narrow a view as Teamster GP Roy Williams' attempt to stall trucking deregulation by attempting to bribe Senator Cannon, the head of the Senate Transportation Committee to scuttle that legislation.

Working class gains are realized through solidarity with all workers; not selling out to the bosses that will cut any worker's throat in the interests of greater profit. These actions by O'Brien are setting our Union back decades. When will the rest of the Teamsters GEB stand up and declare publicly: Stop this madness, this is not what we signed up for. The rest of the GEB (excepting John Palmer - the only one with enough cajones to do the right thing), will own this betrayal. The longer they sit silently on their hands they, in my view, have brought reproach upon the Union.

Looks like if the Canadian teamsters could actually control the next election if they stood together and voted.

The Canadian VP's are running with the OZiffers. Canadian rank and file should understand SOB aka Trumps butt boy could care less about them.

Thisischange is 100%, the Canadian officers are on the OZ ticket along with O'Brien who could give a shit about Canadian Teamsters.

We have zero credibility in the industry. Zero. What a joke.

Imagine if your a Canadian Teamster working movies, your International President just threw you under the bus just so he could kiss the enormous ass of the American President.
O'Brien puts out a statement on tariffs that doesn't even mention the possible impact on Canadian Teamsters, then follows that with a full endorsement of Movie tariffs again ignoring any possible cosequences for Canadian members. This amounts to a big F you to our Brothers and Sisters to the North. Don't be surprised when SOB endorses annexation next. Think how many points that'll earn him.
