Now I hear the IBT is sending out post cards critical of the three Dems who voted against Deremmer, there being disrtibuted in the Senators home states. Warren, Merkley and Murray all have outstanding pro-union voting records, DeRemer not so much. This is where our political money goes.

The new Secretary of Labor promoted by SOB and the union, has come out specificaly reinforcing the idea that companies like Amazon can hire other companies to do their work at the direction of Amazon and not be considered Amazon employees. The entire Teamster organizing campaign about Amazon Delivery Drivers is based on the fact that these drivers are actually Amazon employees. That's what makes it a real campaign.
Our support for DeRemer effectively kills our own Amazon organizing campaign. Does that make sense to anyone other than SOB?

In what way did she "reinforce" the idea? I believe that we are talking about "joint employer" status? If so, the NLRB makes that determination. SOL's opinion has no bearing on such matters. She may have given a personal opinion? If she had it clearly shows "where she is coming from" (as if we don't already know). And, if so, with his support it let's us know where SOB is coming from (as if we don't already know)!

She said as much during her confirmation hearing. Yes the NLRB makes the call, subject to appeal. The Biden NLRB broke new ground on joint employer status. Trump NLRB will reverse it for certain. The SOL has influence obviously and having one supportive of joint employer status arguments would have been helpful.
The hope of organizing Amazon delivery drivers who are paid by third party companies (Amazon has 4,000 of them) died with the Biden board. We just haven't told the drivers.

It’s pretty much common knowledge, especially after the so called strike at Amazon, there was never any plan or desire to organize the inside warehouse workers.
