So these are existing contracts not to be confused with newly organized groups. Gotta love the spin from these clowns.

Right but these are not first contracts bringing in new members, I'm surprised to see it posted in this thread because it has nothing to do with the subject.

This is just regular order of business for Teamster Local unions. Regardless of who the president is most of the contract negotiations and almost all the organizing is done by Locals. We have far more contracts than any other union and it's fair to say they're better too.

They didn't organize 35,000 workers and ratify that many New contracts in the last 3 years. That's fact.

Again organizing wins are great and necessary but the numbers always talk about the maximum nubers of employees, their only members when they pay dues, and in RtoW states (supported by the new Sec of Labor) many do not join. It also takes a contract which doesn't always happen. We get this PR all year long and the LM-2's come out and we've lost 16,000 members. Very miss leading. We all know it's hard to add new members so cut the bullshit.

When something is worded (designed) to have the effect of a lie.......it's a lie. The wording therein is about as deceitful as can be.

The turnover of part timers at UPS creates the need to continually sign them up. They quit as fast as they join. It's work that's always been done, work that should be done, what it's not is an organizing victory, It's due dillegence, Stop the PR bullshit. BTW it should get easier as automation replaces them permanently in the historic agreement.
