NLRA Unconstitutional?

These people don't seem to understand that the NLRA protects them from constant work stoppages, sit-down strikes, SECONDARY pickets, all of that and more. If they throw the whole thing out, they're going to get what's coming to them.-
No doubt they'll try to keep the parts they like. -
Wow... finally somebody that gets it. I have been preaching this ever since I joined T-Link. No labor laws would reenforce and strengthen contracts and would open up corporations to lawsuits like breach of contract. Companies have ultimate protections under such "laws".

Don't expect they'll eliminate the law entirely. If you think this will result in the law of the jungle and we get secondary boycott and intermitant strikes while the employers gives up their advantages under the Act your naive enough to be Trump voter. They'll just eliminate the Biden era decisions and we'll be right where we were the last time Trump was president, BTW say goodbye to the Amazon campaign because the whole thing is based on the boards recent decision on third party employers. Trump will get rid of that on the first day.Comment

Don't know what you are speaking of when you say somehow I support the law or limiting it. By eliminating the NLRA, we can focus more on strengthening our contracts through contract law rather than relying on federal labor law. Under contract law, we would negotiate terms directly with employers, without the limitations and procedural requirements imposed by the NLRA. This approach could give us more control over our agreements, making them binding under contract law instead of having to navigate the NLRB’s bureaucratic processes and political shifts.

"We all agree on the need to better secure the border and to punish employers who choose to hire illegal immigrants. But we also know that people come here to work, and that these jobs are not going to the Americans who are most in need. When [businesses] don’t pay the minimum wage or they don’t pay overtime, it’s the working class, the people that unions are supposed to be fighting for, that suffer. Immigration reform is an essential part of creating fair conditions for our workers and protecting the wages and benefits of American workers.”
Barack Obama
“All Americans… are rightly disturbed by the large numbers of illegal aliens entering our country. The jobs they hold might otherwise be held by citizens or legal immigrants. The public services they use impose burdens on our taxpayers. That’s why our administration has moved aggressively to secure our borders more by hiring a record number of new border guards, by deporting twice as many criminal aliens as ever before… We are a nation of immigrants, but we are also a nation of laws.”
Bill Clinton
And what will the Democrats do about illegal immigration?Comment

You are kidding yourself if you think that 25 million people who were allowed to cross the border on our dime won't dilute the unions.

Hi Dana, I have been respectful of your past posts thinking we could find common ground, apparently that’s pointless. Your other post “the NLRB’s bureaucratic processes and political shifts.” EXACTLY !!! YOU DO GET IT! Let’s compare the NLRB under Trump and the shift under Biden. Then maybe you can explain which side you are on, Trump’s or Unions! We know it can’t be both.
Your other post “And what will the Democrats do about illegal immigration?” is not the question.
Months ago, we discussed this issue when you posted that it was an aid packages that was voted down not the border bill. When I posted that the aid package was included in the bipartisan Border Security Bill that Trump killed to try and save his campaign, you were non-responsive, just like many other provided facts where you tend to disappear. https://www.azcentral.com/story/opin...t/74898253007/
The proof is in the pudding! Now, Trump uses the Border “Crises” as a main campaign tool, just like you, pretending that the bipartisan Border Security Bill never existed.
Think about it, a bipartisan Border Security Bill, Trump kills to try and save his campaign, supporters deflect, now Trump uses the Border as a main campaign tool and now you ask “what will the Democrats do about illegal immigration?”
BS
Your Barack Obama and Bill Clinton quotes “When [businesses] don’t pay the minimum wage or they don’t pay overtime, it’s the working class, the people that unions are supposed to be fighting for, that suffer.” Trump killed the Boarder Bill not Obama or Clinton. We already compared Trumps dismal labor tract record to Biden’s, Harris and Waltz’s support for workers and unions. If I remember correctly, you never responded to any of it.
Your post “dilute the unions.” under Republicans Project 2025, their goal is to destroy unions, at that point diluting would be the least of our worries.
Lastly, if you think Trump is going to stop or deport big business’s cheap, non-union labor pool, I have a bridge you might be interested in.

Here was my original response to this:
She was opposed to anything that secured the border up till 2023 when there was a bill introduced (Bipartisan Border Solutions Act) that forced Senators to earmark billions to Ukraine and Israel. Of the total $118 billion package, $60 billion was allocated to support Ukraine in its war against Russia. This package also included $20.23 billion for border security and $14.1 billion for security assistance to Israel, along with other foreign aid. This bill was opposed because it wasn't a sole border bill. This was a feeble attempt to show support for something they opposed for years. The damage was already done.
And...
This is so faux pas. I say that with respect and not contempt. Trump sought funding and was blocked at every attempt during his Presidency. There was a temporary shut down of the government over this and he circumvented and got military emergency funding. Have we forgotten about the Secure and Succeed Act of 2018 (S. 2193), R. 4760 - Securing America’s Future Act of 2018, H.R. 6136 - Border Security and Immigration Reform Act of 2018, Kate’s Law and Sanctuary City Policies- Kate’s Law (H.R. 3004), Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) / “Remain in Mexico” Policy, Zero Tolerance Policy regarding illegal immigration, The termination of Protected Staus, The ending of catch and release policy, etc. All the Acts described above were blocked by Democrats and Kamala Harris. This announcing of "don't come" was only requested after a crisis was already realized. Let's also not forget what Biden's first act after becoming president was to cease all border wall activities and sold the metal for pennies on the dollar.
Democrats created this problem.
This is her "fix" to the problem....
