They say you wouldn't support your fellow organizers. Instead you were trying to bust the Union. You're a fucking scab

IBT is saying 50,000 new members since OZ was elected in 2022. Previously they said they had gained 206,000 new members for the year 2022, when the actual number was 3,200. https://archive.ph/BM9Ag

      Question:
Has that outdated mathematical formula been replaced??
I hear the IBT re-hired the former Director of Affiliate Records that he fired as well as her Assistant a year earlier because they could not calculate membership correctly.
Now he’s fired former Titan Director, the places is a mess!

Ok, I did a check of NLRB records from March 2022 to the present. I count 10,119 workers organized by the IBT through NLRB elections. 1,335 workers lost through decerts. I checked the National Mediation Board elections and counted 331 workers organized since SOB took office. So that's 10,450 new members through the NLRB and NMB. That would leave workers organized through card check and public employees organized through state boards, something that would take a lot of time to figure out. There's definitely been a lot of organizing in the public sector...600 in Richmond, 500 in Brentwood, 500 in San Diego...but 39,550? It would be great to see where they're getting those numbers.

If this is true why are we always at 1.3 million or less? Hoffa made assertions of great organizing success but always hovered around 1.3 million. Check the LM2's.

In spite of organizing successes, you still have tons of employers that go out of business (i.e. Yellow) or close union operations (C&S, Giant), layoff employees, there's decertification votes, organized groups never get first contracts...all these things contribute to loss of members. Likewise, when employers hire more workers, you get a big lift in membership. COVID i'm sure caused a huge drop in membership...it practically wiped out unions like UNITE-HERE. But if you're talking about the number bandied around in press releases--those numbers have always been and always will be bullshit. The fact of the matter is the 2022 LM-2 filed with the Department of Labor says the IBT had 1,253,634 members. The 2023 LM-2 reported that the IBT had 1,267,407 members.

Didn't we also lose the graphic and communication workers?

I wasn't even trying to figure out how many members have been lost. You've got 30k from YRC, maybe 20k-30k(?) from GCIU, then there's the 200 UPS distribtution centers being closed, consolidated and automated.

They raided a couple of the GCIU units and claimed them as organizing victories. Nice work boys!

What a low life, he sold out his co-workers when they organized during the Hoffa years.

Of the ten thousand or so organized, how many were able to win first contracts? That is the number we never hear from the IBT regardless who the Preident of the union is. Organizing is tough and getting an acceptable agreement is tougher. Last time I looked the success rate was less then 50%. A little transparency would go along way in building credibility after the 206k claim of a couple years ago.

Since sob seems to want to follow trump's pattern, I suspect this is another gross exaggeration!
