Let's label it what it really is: American Taxpayers Bailout Failing Teamster Pensions

As they bailed out the banks and corporations, as they send taxpayers money all over the planet to foreign countries? Why not American workers ?

I agree. I have always been against money going anywhere but the benefit of Americans, not corporations or countries. If you are asking if the pensions should be bailed out by the taxpayer, I say yes. They along with some corrupt union officials caused the problem. Now you a have union that is saying that the problem is that there are no new members contributing to the fund. Bullshit. When a member contributes to the fund for 20, 25, 30 years, the money should be there when they retire. When the government turned over the funds to corrupt wall st organizations through the consent decree, that is when the fund dropped. The Central States paid millions to these firms and got no returns on their investment, just excuses. The stock market more than doubled several times since the decree and our funds went flat? The membership is much to blame. Look who we elect. The son of a crook, Hoffa and now O'Brien who is the biggest bullshit artist in this union.

      That's not true. It's not a bailout.

Exactly Dana it’s a mess on all levels. Glad that Biden saved the fund but we can’t expect this assistance again. The Western Pension is a ticking bankruptcy waiting to happen

That’s John Murphy former Vice President under Hoffa standing to the left of congressman. He is one Teamster officer that knows how to show appreciation to those who helped labor!

Is this the same John Murphy who lied about the contract 10 years ago ?

They keep saying Biden and the Democrsts bailed the pensions out. Our tax dollars did. I glad my tax dollars went to help these people out.

Well Biden and the Democrats were the only ones supporting putting tax dollars into these funds. Every Republican voted against it,
