Simple breakdown of sob's destructive actions.

Although I agree with Hammer's post almost completely, I want to make this short and to the point.

This was a brilliant move by the RNC (trump) to have sob speak. It was set up when sob was having dinner at trump's place in Florida. There was NEVER any intention to speak at the DNC.

As described elsewhere, sob started out kissing ass to every person he could, and used mega phrases to do so. His description of trump being one tough sob, had a duel meaning, that maybe even the RNC didn't get. His pandering was sickening, but played a role, not in bringing the audiance at the convention around (none of whom gave a damn about what he was saying), but to get the attention of millions of hard working folks who might of been taken in by the bs.

Then the populist themes came in. This was designed to draw workers in, and to make them say, "hey he is right, that's me he is taking about, my housing issues, the cost of gas, the struggling workers, etc" all designed to reel them in. So they can think, " I heard this from the Republicans, so it must be ok to vote for them because they speak my language!" That part of the speech could have been made at the DNC, but it wasn't, it came on national TV from someone on the stage at the RNC. A 100% MANUPULAION of the workers looking for direction and help.

Then they allowed him to plug UPS, and tell everyone in the Teamsters Union how tough he is, and how if he doesn't get re-elected he will simply go back on a truck! ( his govt handlers want him right where he is). By this time, those of us who know this guy watched his ego and body language get pumped up through the roof! I can't imagine him getting his head out the door.

So very simply, he allowed himself to be used by the RNC, his words fell on deaf ears to the people he spoke to, but were heard by workers who now feel good about helping the Republicans bury them for maybe the next 12-40 years.

Kilmery wrote earlier someplace that she was wrong about her opposition to sob speaking at the RNC, and that he "knocked it out of the park!" That wasn't a ball going out of the park, it was labor's head! Diana, look past your nose, or maybe paff's ass!

One last thing. Except for Palmer, not one peep from ANY GEB member! They do the membership a huge disservice!

Wouldn't be a surprise, did you see the smile on Trumps face?

Lyin O’Brien also said there are 350,000 UPS Teamsters which is 10,000 more than at the peak before the jobs massacre and robots
Tony estimates with all the closures we’re likely below 300,000 and will be below 250,000 next year

And the union can stop that how?

For decades before OZ was born, the Union reported representing 240,000 ups workers. There were 20,000 mostly part time (but not all) free riders who wouldn't join, plus 40,000, sometimes a lot more, p eak season workers. Again, mostly stayed non-union until a few 000 getting hired post-peak. OZ decided to add them all up, plus add all the p-ters who wash out or quit annually....probably another 50,000. Yes, the pandemic added thousands but the load was really shifted to existing workers with 50 or more stops and packages daily. All the numbers game was intended to inflate the importance of the last contract to the media. And piss off UPS with unnecessary tough guy rhetoric.
Somebody on the GEB should ask the GST what the real number of dues paying Teamsters at UPS is as of 8/1/24? Are they still counting Tforce like they had been? Haha. What's the real impact of these layoffs and consolidations, for "tranparentcies'" sake?

That's the problem when you push a numbers lie too hard. It will haunt you just like all the Union folk in 2026 who will be pissed when 350 K turns into 240 K again (or fewer). And just like the once powerful freight local officers got crushed, it'll happen at Ups locals. Get ready for the backlash you tough SOBs will face in DC!
