TDU: Can members use the Teamster Logo?

Teamsters and retirees are free to use the term Teamster and our union’s logo.  But you need to know the Do’s and Don’ts.

Never been a fan of the group but Sam Bucalo spells out why TDU can't be depended on for anything other than jumping to O'Briens defense regardless of the matter.

This is actually funny. TeamsterLink gets bullied and TDU is acting like they are the members' heroes. TDU is showing us who's corner they are really in with this failed attempt at making it look like they are for the members.

Who cares. Most people don’t know what the Teamsters are. Hell, even our own don’t know what the Teamsters are. You could replace thunder & lightning with a soccer ball and it wouldn’t matter.

Apathy is real. Locals need to do a better job engaging and educating it's rank-and-file.

Most people know they are in a the Teamsters at my hub. Their knowledge on what that actually means varies from little to fully active.

I’ll assume you are not in a RTW state. I know people who have been dues paying members for 15+ years, and have never seen a business agent, nor can tell me who it is. Not UPS, but it would not matter cause UPS seems to be the only thing anyone cares about anymore..

Obviously no one from TeamsterLink was interviewed for this hit piece, so typically TDU. Missing from this enlightening piece was any mention of our union dues going to pay a union busting law firm (Nixon Peabody) to bully teamster retirees. TDU, bought and paid for.

Davis Levin was never a Teamster from what I have confirmed Paff was a Teamster for about a year. Zimmerman and Leedham were Teamsters for over 80 years combined. They were Teamsters because they cared about the Teamsters. They have a combined 80 more years than Paff and Levin. I’m siding with the real Teamsters over these two opportunists. We are at crossroads.

Don't forget Tim Sylvester who put in another 42 years at UPS.

They know their Teamsters but they also know they aren’t well represented—we are at Davison’s local

Davison is a strange bird, we get that. What do you expect him to do to stop a shift closure and layoffs?

It is interesting to me that people think the union can dictate on how a company can run its operations. If they divert volume the union has no control over it.

I've mentioned this before as well. What do you guys think the union can do to stop layoff's and closures? If there's a secret position that the one's outside the brown bubble don't know about?? Shit if there is please post the ingredient’s so we can stop layoffs and closures at all the other Teamster divisions.

Neither of those two are elected by TDU members, so you should look at the elected leaders of TDU (who are Teamsters, or retirees). To my knowledge, none of them lost their Local election while running for GP.
