    D.R.I.V.E. Contributions

Here is a link to the complete history of Teamster D.R.I.V.E. contributions. Yes, there were some contributions to Republicans, but Democrats received the vast majority. For those of you who support the GEB's consideration of a $45,000 contribution to the RNC (Trump), I could find no history of the IBT giving our dues money to a president convicted of sexual assault or one facing 91 felony counts or one who thinks veterans are "suckers" or one who stole classified documents or one who attempted to overthrow the country.

From the look of the graph it looks like our contributions to Republicans fell as they became more anti-union. Makes sense why would we want to help elect people who don't like unions.

Last night on NBC News with Lester Holt there was a story about Trump. It didn't have aything to do with the Teamsters but the video that played during the story was of Trump in the lobby at the IBT. It at least implied that we support Trump but that decision as I understand it has not been made. Considering alone that Trump supprts national right to work, how can any union support him? Support for Trump would do serious harm to DRIVE contributions.

I can’t help but laugh at everyone on this site in a tizzy about meeting with Trump. Meeting with someone does not equal support. O’Brien was an huge supporter of Biden and helped get him elected. Our republic is the disaster it is because Ds and Rs are unwilling to meet and work together. Do you really believe we are going to succeed as a union by depending on Democrats alone who are increasingly becoming the party of big tech and big banks?

Last week, rapper Killer Mike was on The View after winning 3 Grammys. KM is a well known progressive activist but was criticized by Sunny Hostin after mentioning that he had met with Republican governor Brian Kemp. She said “you lost me when you said you support Kemp.”

KM responded “Not support of Kemp," he said. "That's some misinformation. You can not like me, but don't lie on me."

"He's the governor of my state, I have to be involved with him, I can't divorce myself," he continued. "But let me say this, if you criticize someone, don't lie. Don't say I didn’t support [Stacey] Abrams because I did. Don’t say I don’t support Democrats because I’ve helped get three Democratic mayors elected, two state representatives elected, but if someone is in the king’s seat, I’m not going to not have dinner with the king on behalf of my people. I have to do that."

People on this website sound like the hosts of The View.

Trying to overturn the 2020 election, attacking Black election workers in Georgia, leaning on Georgia and Arizona’s’ secretaries of state to get him more votes, then failing all that sending an armed mob to kill members of Congress and the Vice President to stop the certification of the election. None of this is normal or acceptable.

Most Teamster Trump supporters don’t agree with the bad things he’s done but believe the good he did outweighs the bad. It’s no different than you believing that Cochran kook has done enough good to outweigh the crazy scams he tried to perpetrate on innocent people.

On this site alone you have people like Faust and the Teamster Mobilize crew that won’t support Biden over his support for Israel and other things. Look at who started this thread, Terry Post, there is no bigger apologist for the criminal Rome Aloise than Terry, but he ignores his crimes because he personally benefited from Rome’s leadership and favoritism. Terry unironically lectures us and O’Brien for talking to Trump when his hero was literally BANNED from talking to Teamsters. Excuse me if I don’t take his moralizing seriously.

That is not normal for sure. What else is not normal is that you would put so much faith in someone who stole from someone. That is not acceptable.

Glad your having a good laugh so is every anti-union politician in the country watching our President O'Brien waltz down to Mar-aLago to kiss the ring of the most anti-union POTUS in history. Yeah I'll bet your laughing everytime you see video of him in our lobby insulting immigrants and the very people we need to organize.

Spare us the lecture about always supporting Dems, we all know DRIVE stands forDemocrat Republican Independent Voter Education and we support Republicans and Independents when they're in support of our issues, problem is because of MAGA, those people are hard to come by.

If our fearless leader wants to correct what by all Labor accounts, that is except by your genius analysis, is a major fuckup. He neds to get the endorsement for Biden now, because as things stand right now there are only two to choose from.

It’s not a “major fuckup” because you don’t get people or Republicans to support your issues by ignoring them. Organized labor and the number of union members continues to shrink every year. Even last year which was considered a rebirth for labor and a resurgence saw membership decline by percentage for the umpteenth year. Relying on Democrats alone is KILLING the labor movement. Whats the definition of crazy?

This country has gone so woke that it will fall once again into the little hands of trump. The majority of people feel like all this woke change is being pushed on us to fast and to soon. People on this site think I am a trump supporter. No, I am not. I have lived in California for longer than most of the socialists on this website have been alive. We like people for who they are. But we tend to want to make our own decisions and not have stuff forced on us. I am no-fan of this administration but do respect that they are willing to meet with all sides. Thank you for sharing this quote. Maybe it will give some credibility to all sides.

This quote has me rolling "this woke change is being pushed on us to last", it begs the question. Do you know US History. I wonder who built most of this country and were forced to work.
I was born and raised in Southern California, tell me. What did you think of Governor Pete Wilson and did you vote for Proposition 187.

The Teamsters PAC’s donations overwhelmingly go toward Democrats, but the $45,000 donation marks the first significant donation to the RNC in years.
