    Explain this timeline

Just a thought here. Trump meet's O'Brien at Mar-a-lago on January 3rd of this year. On January 10th of this year the Teamsters GEB votes on contributing 45,000 dollars of DRIVE money to the Republican National Committee. It has been widely reported that Trump's legal expenses have been funded through political contributions. If you are a Teamster contributing to DRIVE this shold be alarming and offensive. Furthermore it seems to have been the precurser to the January 31st Trump meeting/press conference in the IBT HQ. This smacks of a backroom deal made by SOB.

More than a year after the 2020 presidential election, the GOP, in an unusual move, is still covering numerous legal bills for the benefit of former President Trump.

So are they saying that our DRIVE money may have been used for Trump’s legal defense ?

The punks in this debacle are the Local Union Principal Officers (particularly at the big city Locals). They say nothing while the IBT trashes their members and communities. "Teamsters United" in cowardice and mediocrity. No good reason why they couldn't have said publicly, "We oppose the cynical photo ops with Trump. Trump, of course, will not be endorsed by our Union."

This has to be ine of the stupidest conspiracy theories out there. D. R. I. V. E. Gives to Democrats Republicans Independents. This happens all the time. The Teamsters are political players. Just like the Democrats that are members don’t want money going to Republicans and vice versa.

Do you want a tracker of every DRIVE donation federally and in each state?

Similar GEB votes would be fine. If someone makes a claim they should present valid evidence. When was the last time DRIVE contributed to the RNC or a national republican candidate?

These guys don’t understand how drive works. A lot of these armchair quarterbacks have never be in office. They don’t get it. If we only give to one party we are doomed. That is why they come here and complain. They don’t have any real experience yet. They look to a guy named Edgar. He has zero experience and a track record of a nothing burger.

Thats right, these people complaining about giving $45,000 to the party that supports national right to work are just To Dumb to Understand. They don't see the brilliant political move of giving large sums of money to people that want to DESTROY us. Glad I'm not a DRIVE Rep trying to explain to members why the entire rest of the labor movement just can't get in to how cool the whole Mar a Lago thing is.

Shit, you are probably one of the many members who have never contributed penny to drive but think your dues go to them also.

Expect this year the RNC’s presumptive nominee for president is a man who tried to overturn the last election, and when that didn’t work sent an armed mob to kill members of Congress and the Vice President. That’s not normal political activity BTW
