I'm friends with a Hispanic woman that was one of the Organizers fired. She told me that they all got emails at 5pm saying that their services were no longer needed. All had their expenses cut and had to figure out a way to pay rental cars, hotels or other expenditures while they were on campaigns out of state. No one from the International would return the calls or messages. Horrible way to treat them.

Don’t know if O’Brien is a racist but optics say a lot . Boston is is 52% non white yet every photo of teamster meetings and events and Joint Council and local boards are 95% white. Coincidence?

This won’t be the last discrimination suit. For a place that claims they fight for workers rights they do an incredible poor job protecting their own from the same behavior.
