Guess what? Mysteriously 25 cents is found!

Hearing that the "new" deal is $0.25 the first year to the WCTPTF. A one time contribution that produces $2,600 over the term of the contract. Taking the base multiplier which is 1.2, figure it out, doesn't produce much! The trustees/ VPs don't and won't push back against the IBT. THEY DON'T REPRESENT OZ, THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO REPRESENT THE WEST MEMEBERS! All AWOL! such a shame. Remember, this affects UPS members directly but also impacts everyone in the WCTPTF. All employers will now try this one tiny contribution idea, which brings everyone down. WHY should the WCTPTF members be punished for having a great, secure pension fund, with a history of trustees who stood up only to protect the participants and never bowed to external pressure. Not to Hoffa Sr, not to Ron Carey, not to Jr. But now it has happened. Kissing ass and politics and pleasing the guy who signs their checks has overtaken honor, dignity, honesty, and responsibility to those who voted for them! What a shame.

Is this only for the first year and then the other 25 cents would go to the failing New England Pension Fund?

How about for the next 4 years? Is it also half to the pension and half to New England?

This "TA" is looking a bit like the Hindenburg at the moment.

I am being told that it came off the healthcare money, .50 cents and so now our healthcare is getting short changed as well.

NorCal and perhaps SoCal will experience a Dollar or more increase in HW. So 50 cents isn't even going to cover that! Forget pension money. The West is being punished and sold out because of their success. A very sorry excuse for leadership in the West. No protection from their GEB members. Pathetic!!!

Under this TA when Healthcare costs rise above the .50 available the only option is take it from wages or cut the level of health benefits, is that right?

Some supplements have Maintenance of Benefits (MOB) that would require UPS to pay the increase over and above the 50 cents.

Which supplements? They were all removed in 2013.
