Next Steps In The Contract Fight

Expect the Teamsters to demand that UPS present to the bargaining committee their Last, Best and Final offer. Though the Union should not be doing this. They should be asking for more bargaining dates up to July 30. Why don't we want a Last, Best and Final offer? Because if the Company presents one, Members have to vote on it. Looking at the way part timers are not being regarded, last best and final may pass with part timers being screwed again.

The Teamsters can "demand" a last, best and final all they want, but UPS is not obligated to give it. O'Lyin is trying to fool everyone into thinking he has that much power when he doesn't. He is actually backing the Teamsters into a dangerous corner if UPS calls his bluff. Teamsters didn't counter UPS's offer. They walked away. Someone needs to educate the members on impasse because the IBT sure isn't going to.

Your right we are backed in a corner. Its hard to counter on PT base rate because our side proposed $20 from the start, according to leaks, and has no where to go.

Either this is a genius plan or similar to the titanic and the one hole ship will sink to the bottom of the ocean

I guess it could be genius, but at this point our credibility is hurting. It doesn't help to keep ignoring our own deadlines. Don't set red lines if your not going to keep them.

The $25 folks should be working a vote no, not waiting for a company proposal that is guaranteed to be inadequate for part-timers.

Why aren't the OZholes putting their offers on the table? This is so bizarre and actually childish.
