I wanted to be a organizer as long as I can remember. My uncle was a teamster organizer in 50's. I called my PO what was needed to apply. sent my resume in and I have never heard back. I met some organizers that came to my local and became friends with some. My dream is better left as a dream from what i have heard. How can the organization that I love continue to do the things it said it wouldn't do on the campaign trail? To many the department is hiring it's friends for sure only promoting them {asskissers} I could've swore during the campaign the OZ said they would hire from within but that's a lie. From the conversations I've overheard in my local ttese new people should not be in the positions they are.
my friend want me to say this. How can you tell people about a code of conduct when you're own department doesnt even hold its management to the same standard?
maybe they should talk to there steward? The same organization that wants people to form there union as teamsters don't have union organizers? If the teamsters don't want me, plenty of other unions do.
