    Brownout ?

Ok , now we have seen the company’s economic proposals. Pretty obvious it’s a low ball first offer . Here is my question WHEN DO WE THE MEMBERS GET TO SEE OUR PROPOSALS? How much did we ask for ? All this talk about transparency…….I don’t see it .

Agree brother. It's way past time to show TA language and proposals to members.

You will not see any proposals. The only thing you will see is once the entire tentative agreement is ready. The Union bargaining committee will not allow members to tear it down on social media

A dozen proposals can be exchanged before there is an agreement. Therefore you won't see them. But also, what the Union is proposing may not necessarily be what you want but less.

Tear it down ? Are they that afraid ? Tough talk and boasting has been spoon fed to us for months ! We have supported the effort all the way !
NOW TELL US WHAT THE PROPOSAL IS !
Simple question how much are we proposing as a starting wage for part timers ? We have heard about “ strike issues” well what’s the wage strike issue ?

THIS IS OUR CONTRACT ! AND PART TIMERS DO VOTE !

When I was in the negotiations the first thing we did was send out a survey, then had a proposal meeting where we discussed and took down proposals. The local reviewed them to make sure there was no duplicates to the current contract. We would meet with the bargaining unit just to update because the proposals would change all the time. it is frustrating at times because it takes time and a lot of it. if you haven't been getting updates, demand it from your local Union. UPS teamsters are a big unit and it will take time. Be prepared, stick together. National proposals are tuff.

Like Idle stated, proposal surveys are given to all Members. Surveys are collected and proposals are drafted from the survey suggestions. Members appoint who will represent them at bargaining so you have to have faith in your leadership. Unfortunately you will not see any of the Union proposals whether you ask your Union or not. The only way to have access to the Union proposals is to be on the bargaining committee

The members do not appoint those who represent them at bargaining with the UPS National Master. They are all selected by the General President, who was elected with the votes of less than 10% of all Teamsters, less votes than the entire size of the UPS bargaining unit.

Well the Members that didn't vote should've voted

UPS909Strong , when the options are between a piece of shit and a turd sandwich most reasonable people would choose neither. The decline in the turnout of union elections shows how disconnected actual union politics have become from the rank-and-file membership.

I get updates from that UPS app that took over for ups rising. There are so many updates on that application. Have you downloaded it yet?
