This kind of reminds me of the Teamster election. I remember candidates on the Vairma slate making predictions and statements about the way members were going to vote. And I remember O’Brien haters saying he would have no support in the West. At the end of the day, regardless of all the hate, O’Brien won the most convincing victory in Teamster election history. I think he won EVERY joint council.

I hope part timers get a huge raise. They deserve it. I’ll put my money on O’Brien to deliver. Not TDU or TeamsterMobilize.

O'Brien has rewritten history. He apparently had no hand in the 2013 agreement. Teamcare was the greatest. O'Brien never wore a red vest or threatened reformers.

Oh and O'Brien is apparently the first and only GP to include rank-and-file members in the negotiating committee, not Ron Carey who had them in 1993 and 1997.

There are lots of reasons to hate on TDU I suppose, but at least they are out there helping run a UPS campaign to involve members and inspire action. Not sitting on the sidelines complaining about everything and anything.

Just so I know you aren’t a company plant, list 10 Teamster local union leaders who you think are great leaders. Just 10. That’s less than 3 percent of local union leaders. Hell, name just 5. Or, like management, do you hate everyone of us?
