Terminated for Supporting her husbands campaign

If you work any where near a Teamster office you either know or have benefited from the knowledge of this long term Teamster. According to the election supervisor she was terminated for supporting her husbands Union campaign.

    Zivalich
. Letty Zivalich has extensive experience in local union administration. Before becoming an International auditor, she was employed for a decade as an IBT field representative. In that capacity, she worked extensively in local unions around the country training TITAN operators, instructing office managers and clericals in QuickBooks, troubleshooting bookkeeping and TITAN problems for local union employees, and helping to train new and existing local union secretary-treasurers on the methods and means to administer their local unions, giving particular training with respect to the IBT constitution, local union bylaws, and the LMRDA. She was a key participant in the revision of the IBT’s local union secretary-treasurer’s manual, the guidebook for administering local union business operations. She helped to write, revise, illustrate, and/or prepare training materials on the IBT’s QuickBooks manual and TITAN manual and was a veteran trainer on those subjects at IBT conventions and Unity, Women’s, and joint council conferences, among others. With this extensive experience in proper local union administration, she was named an International auditor in May 2017 and in that role performed local union and joint council audits in the South and Central regions and served as a resource to other auditors in addressing unusual problems they discovered in various audits. Given Zivalich’s extensive experience with preparing or revising these manuals, she was called upon frequently to audit tough and problematic local unions and to consult with then-Legal Department Director Gary Witlen about them.

Is she coming back to work at the IBT? I learned of a guy on another thread. Rob Atkinson who was also supposedly fired indirectly by sean obrien. Isn’t this the same kind of situation?

She is one of the one's that the Election Officer found in favor of that O'Lyin retaliated against. She will be given her job back with full back pay and pension contributions. However, what kind of environment will she be coming back to with that grudge holding POS still in charge?!?!

The new OZ administration fired two of only three female auditors which requires a vote of the GEB. The vote was taken on the first day of the new administration without providing the names of the auditors or any work related reason for their termination. In addition to the charges of political retaliation, the OZ action has raised questions about the independence of the new team auditing local unions.

Great point, they will make it a living hell for her. If they were smart they would let her continue doing her exemplary work and lick their wounds. After all the members are paying the freight on this. I doubt it's in the character of any of these egomaniacs to do the right thing.

This regime loves firing women. I mean everyone knows how much Seany Boy hates women, but he makes it so obvious.

Did the Zivalichs meet on the job? A lot of these relationships between folks in the Teamsters are questionable. Instead of conducting Union business, some people are to busy wining and dining their coworkers

Racism and sexism in Boston? Surely not.

Josh and Letty Zivalich's reputation in the Teamsters is impeccable. You couldn't find two better Teamsters in the entire Union.

Letty's list of accomplishments is really amazing. For Teamster principle officers The Secretary Treasurers Manual is the bible for running a Teamster Local Union, Letty Zivalich wrote it!

If you work in a Teamster Local Union office you were either trained by her or used the Titan manual or IBT QuickBooks Manual. She wrote, revised and illustrated both.

Few have done more for every Teamster Local Union. Yet no penalty for those who unjustly terminated her? We'll never have a democratic union if people who invest as much as Letty are terminated simply because of who they support for leadership.
