5 years ago, Hoffa and Taylor sent out ballots to UPS Teamsters on May 15 to authorize a national strike against UPS. Why the delay this time around, despite the talk of a strike?

Investigative reporting about corporate malfeasance and government wrongdoing, analysis of national and world affairs, and cultural criticism that matters.

Because the contract was already negotiated behind closed doors. Duh.

Perhaps the long-time activists from the Roswell Hub show can give an explanation? They appear to know everything.

I doubt there is a strike authorization vote. They will wrap this contract up at the end of June and put it to a vote with the members. I believe Obrien already said we are striking if the contract gets voted down or isn’t done by July 31.

Hoffa and Hall always started negotiations early as a favor to the company. They didn’t want the company to lose volume or hurt their stock price. They did that for every contract they negotiated. The new Teamsters leadership isn’t doing that this time. That might explain why the timeline is not the same as Hoffa/Hall.

Sean O'Brien doesn't have an ounce of balls to strike. He actually has stopped using the term "strike." Carol has him where she wants him.

There won't be any strike. A tentative agreement will be reached that will pass by a little over half of the bargaining unit. The ones that vote will be mostly full timers since the part timers will not get the 25 dollars that they are looking for. UPS and the Teamsters don't care about how part timers feel. They only care that we pay dues.

They both, Teamsters and UPS, better care about part-timers. If part-timers do not get $25 starting and base pay with $0.75 for every year of service, then there will be a NO VOTE.
You think full-timers will vote for PVD and "limited subcontracting"?
There needs to be solidarity within all ranks/classifications.

Not sure if David Allen is, but Kerwood is and he might still be in the International Steering Committee.

He has to be the only TDU member in local 25.

He joined as an infiltrator at O'Brien's request. To keep an eye on TDU before they jumped on the OZ bandwagon.

But no one had heard of Kerwood prior to 2018.

He supported Hoffa in 2011 and 2016 when O'Brien ran on his slate. When the Vote No movement was born in 2013 and Mark Timlin started the Vote No FB page Kerwood was a ghost.

                        The guy is fraud.

David Allen was also never heard of prior to the 2021 election. He probably came to light in 2019-2020. Not sure if he was a member in 2013?

So Kerwood isn’t really TDU , he’s just a plant by the OZ campaign?
