The OZ team filed amended reports with the Department of Labor for both 2022 and 2021 on May 12 to correct the membership numbers in both years – a month after teamsterlink raised the question.

They corrected the membership number (not including fee payers) for 2021 by 238,000 and the number for 2022 by 32,000. So instead of the 206,000 increase in 2022 that O’Brien was bragging about, the number of members actually fell by 220. There was a bigger mistake in the number of Fee Payers (not included on the first page of the report where most people look) and they had to reduce that number by 279,000. Comparing the adjusted totals of members and fee payers the 2022 number is 1,279,025 compared to 1,275,498 in 2021 – an increase of 3,527.
