    NorCal Teamsters Sitting Arbitrator Issue

Local 70 members are upset that their Principal Officer Marty Frates has reneged on his recommendation for a NO vote on the company proposal for a sitting arbitrator at the Norcal Panel. Marty has flip-flopped under pressure from Sean O'Brien, and now Marty is pushing for a sitting arbitrator. The Norcal Committee voted unanimously against the sitting arbitrator at the NorCal Panel, but Frates has his marching orders and he is now pushing for agreeing to the company's concessionary proposal with help from IBT Salaried Norcal Principals Dale Wentz and Debbie Calkins.

UPS is overreaching to take away protection of our rank and file members. We urge Marty to keep his word and say NO! to the sitting arbitration proposal.

And why isn't Norcal at the National Negotiations? Sean committed to not starting National Negotiations until after all the supplements were negotiated. Just another broken promise.

O'Brien tweeted that the NorCal committee encouraged him to move forward on the National negotiations, this is not true....

More make believe BS from purveyors of fantasy land. Why don’t you put your real name Norcal local 70 teamster? Why are you hiding from reality. I talk to Marty and this is more lie’s coming from butt hurt rejects that no longer have control.

That seems obvious, officers and locals in this union right now have a very real fear of retaliation for voicing a contrary opinion. Did you forget our Pres has already been suspended once for threatening teamster members.

Members fearing retaliation by their leaders. Sure is nice that that's a thing of the past now that the OZ reformers have taken over )-'

Angelodemma@hotmail.com, as someone that knows firsthand what comes with that vindictive POS and his minions knowing who you are and what happens to you when you don't agree with them, I know why people aren't using their real names. I know what O'Lyin and his bunch are capable of when you don't support everything they say or do, so until you have been where some of us have and fear even further retaliation, you apparently don't know the first thing about what people are hiding from.

It’s obvious that Pete Nunez has his people in this site. I wonder what other kind of juicy information he will give us on here.

A lot of this kind of BS is because we as members (or officers in this case) are not allowed to see the real proposals as written and given to the company. I'd like to see the company's too. UPS has seen them why can't we.
I don't know whats holding up the air hub or the NorCal is it a change to a sitting arbitrator or not?

I've made similar comments and so have others on here. This something easy that O'Brien could do. Oh and go Lakers.
