O'brien's pal trump and his supreme ct. Open the floodgates to buy us elections!

Trump's Supreme Court just ruled that billionaires, corporations ("Corporations are people" as Republican Mitt Romney told us), superpacs, etc., can contribute unlimited money to support political candidates and campaigns - see below NY Times article today. All three of O'Brien's personal pal, Donald Trump's Supreme Court appointees (Kavenaugh, Gorsuch, and Coney-Barrett) voted in favor of eliminating any limit to political campaign contributions.

Case in point: Chain saw wielding trillionaire Elon Musk and Amazon owner Jeff Bezos can spend hundreds of millions to buy the candidates of their choice. As our General President Sean O'Brien continues to cozy up to the Trump/MAGA movement and Epstein class, the foundations of the guiding principles of organized labor: 8 hours of work, 8 hours of rest, and 8 hours of recreation with fair wages, benefits, and working conditions, assuredly will be eroded because of our TEAMSTERS GENERAL PRESIDENT AND ENABLER IN CHIEF (within US organized labor) OF THE TRUMP MAGA MOVEMENT, SEAN O'BRIEN.

And as forest fires rage throughout North America, 100+ degree temperatures bake our planet because of fossil fuel global warming, what is O'Brien's pal Trump implementing? Elimination of thousands of Union jobs in renewable energy projects, erosion of coal miners safety regulations while supplementing the coal mining bosses with lucrative military contracts, invading Venezuela, Iran (and Cuba next according to Trump). Trump says fossil fuel global warming is a "hoax". 99.9% of climate scientists disagree as does most of the industrialized world. Why does Trump think climate change because of fossil fuels is a "hoax"? Because the fossil fuel bosses want to reap endless profits regardless of how it impacts our quality of life and survival, and Trump and his and O'Brien's MAGA buddies are owned lock, stock, and barrel by the fossil fuel industry as well as the rest of the bloodsucking corporations that we are fighting everyday as Union workers.

Now O'Brien and his lapdogs Paff and Levin will tell you they care nothing about "social issues"; that issues like Trump/MAGA and climate change, the rights of immigrant workers have no place in our Union*; they see them as non-consequential and Teamsters should only be concerned with bread and butter issues. That's not the history of organized labor. We want bread and like the great textile strikers in Lawrence, Mass. - "We want roses too." We need a political working class revolution at the ballot box. O'Brien and his OZ GEB are leading the US working class over a cliff. FIGHT BACK!

*We know where O'Brien stands on immigrant rights. He has stated for the record that "illegal aliens stealing jobs is a hard pill to swallow." Oh yeah, O'Brien attended an affair in NYC on St. Patrick's Day honoring Irish immigrants and proudly talked of his heritage as a "descendant of the Emerald Isle". Meanwhile over 350,000 Haitian workers are subject to deportation even though they entered and remained legal immigrants before Trump's Supreme Court stripped them of their legal status. Are you familiar with the history of the Haitian people? From where did the millions of US workers come from during the great organizing drives of the 19th and 20th century? The 1912 Lawrence Bread and Roses strike was comprised of workers born in over 50 different nations. This was true throughout US industry. These workers were among the shock troops of organized labor.

The path OZ has taken will haunt our Union now and in the future. STAND UP AT YOUR LOCAL UNION MEETINGS AND DEMAND THAT OZ END SUPPORT AND ACCOMADATION TO TRUMP/MAGA AND THE EPSTEIN BILLIONAIRE CLASS.BECAUSE THAT'S THE CLASS O'BRIEN'S PALS TRUMP, HAWLEY, JD VANCE, MULLINS, ETC. REPRESENT.

DEMAND THAT OUR UNION SUPPORT MUST GO TO THOSE WHO SUPPORT THE STRUGGLES OF THE WORKING CLASS.

Brother Cos: I recognize that the use of the term "working class" has been ambiguous - mainstream politicians have used the term "middle class" for decades, and only more recently have mainstream Democratic politicians referred to "the working class".

So, in my mind, "the working class" refers to people that must perform labor to survive, whereas, those whose' survival and wealth is realized through the labor of others, are not working class in the true sense of the word. But I also recognize that people who may own a business - say a diner, might work side by side with the workers they employ, yet it is the ownership and capital of the business that the owner depends on for survival.

And there are people that may be unable to get employment or are unable to perform work and either rely on some form of disability or unemployment insurance to survive; there are people that independently produce or create things that people consume; this might include people that create art, music, literature, etc.

And there are people that rely on scrounging whatever they can get to survive and are homeless and living on the street.

So, Brother, I'm no theoretician, I'm a retired truck driver. But, I think most of us have a basic understanding of what comprises the working class and we know it when we see it. Oh yeah, people that are surviving on the retirement benefits (social security, pensions, etc.) are surviving on the labor they sold to their employers.

In the present era, the concentration of wealth and the disparity of wealth between workers and the owners of the means of production have skyrocketed. And the political and economic power and greed of capital is now unsustainable for the survival of the working class.

I raised the reference of climate change in my initial post in this thread, because the billionaire class will even destroy the future survival of their children and grandchildren only because they have an insatiable thirst for more and more profit; money neither they nor their umpteen future generations will ever be able to spend.
