I have to ask this , I’m not from California, I don’t know what Rome did or didn’t do . Here is the question , if we had the IRB back when Hoffa senior was in charge would he have been banned ? Convicted felon , served time in prison, mob ties , etc etc. I think he would have been , yet he is President Emeritus ( honorary term meaning president for life ) of the teamsters , it is actually stated in the constitution. He is actually revered and has been made a legend . Makes me wonder .

He did go to jail. He made a deal with then President of the United States Reagan. He then tried to get back in the Teamsters but expulsion was part of the deal.

Seems like looting central states pension fund by making it a piggy bank for the mob is more worthy of being banned then being banned for speaking to someone the government has told you you can’t.
