The level of Employer control over Trump's appointees is staggering (no surprise).
We read everyday in IBT media about pro-worker legislation championed by Hawley and his ilk.
But the big picture that O'Brien and his OZ entourage ignore is the destruction of worker solidarity under OZ.
O'Brien may believe he's playing the Trump/MAGA connection to gain improved federal labor law.
But, the Trump/MAGA/OZ alliance is setting back the core values upon which the Labor Movement in the US was built:
The vast numbers of immigrant workers that have led US labor struggles for over 150 years; the shock troops of organized labor, by example, The Lawrence, MA, Bread and Roses Strike, the Homestead Steel strike, UMW Ludlow mine workers, all through the great CIO organizing and sit down strikes, the 1934 Minneapolis General Strike;
OZ's silence on the Trump/MAGA war on immigrant labor, Black and Women workers/and their civil rights victories, will haunt our Union for a long time.

This is a really important case that just got torpedoed by Trumps new NLRB Chair. If the full board and the courts uphold the decision and the "settlement" Teamster organizing of delivery Drivers at Amazon is dead. The whole basis for Teamster oganizing of the last-mile delivery contractors was the joint-employer decisions of the Biden NLRB. If Amazon can just continue to fire contractors that organize no one will take that risk. Considering the amounts of money we've put into this campaign the membership deserves a full report and a plan going forward.
