The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) is moving to settle a case against Amazon regarding allegations it improperly controlled and violated the rights of California delivery drivers. The proposed settlement avoids a landmark ruling on whether Amazon acts as a "joint employer" of contracted drivers, potentially requiring it to pay two weeks' wages to up to 84 drivers without admitting wrongdoing.
