IIO Taking a Closer Look at Local 986

Word is the IIO is back at Local 986, and it may be a bigger mess than people first thought. Their last report said Chris Griswold and some others weren’t actually allowed to act as the bargaining agents, so they shouldn’t have been signing contracts or approving spending. Now the IIO is going back and looking at everything that got approved during that time—contracts, grievances, spending, and anything tied to panels or trusteeships through the Joint Council or IBT. The big question is whether some of that could get challenged or thrown out.

If you think you were affected by anything Griswold signed, worked on, or helped decide—at the Local, Joint Council, or IBT level—you should contact the IIO. You can ask them to review it, file a complaint, and request that the decision be reheard.

Here's an idea, OZ should check the eligibility of all the slate members. Last time they didn't and every vote since then has had at least one and maybe more illegal votes. How many other schemes like this are going on? With all the money Griswold was taking he couldn't even pay his dues, that's just pathetic.
