SoCal TDU Grocery members unhappy with O'Brien!

Word is that TDU grocery members in SoCal are not happy with Sean O'Brien. The IBT has not done anything to stop the introduction of robotics that will cost order selector jobs. At the same time the IBT engineers came to SoCal warehouses and ruled in favor of the grocery chains unfair production standards.

The new production standards are cutting into members bonuses and resulting in disciplinary action.

O'Brien has also not used any resources into stopping Kroger from buying Albertsons. The merger will shut down Teamster warehouses and UFCO stores. The UFCO has filed a lawsuit to prevent the merger, but O'Brien hasn't spent a penny.

TDU won't publish anything in fear of being cut from the $30,000 scholarship they are receiving from the IBT per year to become their cheerleader and their members are angry!!!

Hoffa left the union in financially pristine condition with seasoned excellent staff, locals unions that could count on the international and now it’s being burnt to the ground by our new President.

O’Cryin should be kissing the former administrations arses for leaving a strike fund so fat he can credibly threaten a strike at UPS and send his bestie Rick Hicks $1 million to lose a massive strike.

And speaking for James R or his family is just stupid you silly tosser especially when our new guy is the son of a bank robbing government snitching thug.

Notice I said “our”, this shite talking, woman hating, tdu loving, insecure thick necked short ass wanna be thug will ultimately be our collective demise. His nose was up Ken Halls ass so far members called him “the GST ball sucker”.

All you hear from you hoffa lovers is “strike fund is huuuuge”. Your guy was afraid to take anyone out on strike and it’s clearly shines through on the ups contracts of the lawyers tenure. Anyone ever affiliated with the lawyer is to blame . That’s goes for Sean as well.
BUT I guarantee you Sean will be in power for the rest of your life. He will do enough good to outweigh his mistakes when backing the fat corporate lawyer.
Ken hall can eat a bag of eggplants. I’d like to catch him in the mountains of West Virginia and teach that hillbilly a thing or two. He’s got a vagina between his legs and a removed nut sack

Hoffa and O'Brien are both old guard nepoteamsters. O'Brien was Hoffa's most loyal old guard thug in New England. As a matter of fact O'Brien gladly ran on the Hoffa ticket in 2011 and 2016.

Hoffa appointed O'Brien as Ken Hall's assistant for the 2013 UPS negotiations. Then he appointed O'Brien as his package director for the 2018 contract. O'Brien was a die hard hofficer and everyone knows that.

O'Brien supported the corporate lawyer and got in trouble in 2013 when he threatened Pork Chops at 251 and got Rob Atkinson fired in Western Pennsylvania.

Anyone who thinks O'Brien is a reformer is delusional!

O'Brien will land a mediocre deal at UPS and there will be no strike.

I strongly disagree with that statement. In this economy with labor shortages, inflation, record UPS company profits and a general favorability of unions right now how could he not bargain the best deal ever? The bar is pretty low for part-time to begin with and the company is obviously aware. O'Brien wouldn't raise expectations if he didn't have a plan.

UPS and the teamsters have bargained fair contracts for decades and if the wee man starts taking his job seriously we will again.

it’s irresponsible to play political football with the members knowing that the package industry has changed so dramatically and expectations should be realistic.

Perhaps the tattooed girl, Lindsay’s cousin, from Seattle will show us a PowerPoint again so we’ll understand.

I guess members should have elected Tyler Binder International Vice President. Rick Hicks was one of the biggest supporters of the 2018 deal called it "best ever", made videos, using dues money to sell it, bragged to the administration about how hard he was working to sell it. I'd guess those videos are long gone, because now he's a militant reformer, lol. If that contract is your big issue, why would you pick a leader in the effort to sell it as your VP?

Getting back to the original subject matter of the post, that TDU members in SoCal are unhappy. That doesn't seem like a whole lot of people, any idea how many TDU members are even in SoCal? There used to be a lot in sanitation but not so much now. You don't have to be a TDU member to be unhappy right now.

If their concerned about robotics they should be. Every teamster should be concerned, driverless trucks and warehouse robotics will cost many thousands of teamster jobs.

If their grocery teamsters they know that the Kroger -Albertson merger could cost them their own jobs. They have lots of reasons to be unhappy because these problems are never mentioned by the union, we should all be unhappy about that.
