NLRB finds merit in another O'Brien bullying case

The NLRB finally issued a decision finding the IBT and Local 657 retaliated against me for exercising my political rights, in violation of the NLRA. I never sought money from the IBT. I just wanted to establish that every member, including members of the GEB, had the right protected by federal law to participate in the democratic processes of their union. The NLRB essentially put the IBT on probation for the next 6 months to monitor the IBT's behavior and ensure that no additional violations occur. I feel completely vindicated and offer this decision to anyone else who has been, or may be, threatened by any action of the IBT while exercising their right to participate in the delegate elections, local union elections, or Convention.

Sounds like the two of you should have a wall to wall talk.

CONGRATULATIONS JOHN!!! I can't think of a more despicable act on the IBT's (SOB'S) part.

Good decision and well worth the effort, even though it was a long time coming. Actually the timing 's not bad, a lesson for the rest of the board who can't seem to stand up to the bully tactics.

Very common of the ibt to do things like this to make potential opponents go through the “ system” to distract them.
