It's called an information brownout just like in 2013 and 2018. We will have to prepare to reject it.

The updates on the app have improved lately and have more details like the Local 804 updates. Although not much is happening with the company stalling, but like "working396" said, I'm hoping we will see the actual proposals once the National talks get started.

Sorry but the updates don't say much , but from what everyone is saying nothing much is moving anyway.
Funny how the International is talking about how we have to fight UPS from giving us a " Cost Neutral" contract. That's the rallying cry now? No cost neutral contract. As if anyone in the country thinks UPS will get away with a cost neutral labor agreement. What BS.
This is nothing more than an attempt to lower members expectations. Seems a little late after all the buckle your chin strap talk. UPS knows a settlement will cost big bucks and their more than prepared to pay.

Agree with percap2high, the updates are superficial, There is no meat on the bone. The rank-and-file wants details. Why is it okay for UPS to see our proposals but we, the rank-and-file can not know what UPS thinks of them and what their counter-proposals are.

Supplement negotiations Chairman are being pushed hard to get the Supplements and Riders finished before April 17. The company is dragging their feet and little has been agreed to, most have few if any TA's. UPS is trying to ignore union proposals hoping they'll go away in the last minute crush to get done,

From the NDAs to this letter, it shows all of us that like in 2013 Sean O'Brien is in bed with management and will have a deal in place with his mistress Carol Tomei.

O’Brien seems to be trying to cancel Perrone’s thunder! Perrone seems to be the only one talking the talk and walking the walk .

So let me get this straight.... It is ok for our General President, O'Brien to berate and attack a sitting Congressman, but we can't do it ourselves?

Got it. This guy is a control freak sociopath.

All we hear about is how everyone is staying up late to "Finish the Supplements". When did the goal become to finish? The goal is to get what we deserve not to finish . Finish could mean we pulled all our proposals that would certainly bring it to a finish. We'll be finished when we accomplish our goal. They say, (although we get few hard facts and god forbid we should see actual proposals not to mention that every committee member has signed an NDA) some supplements are making progress and several more are not. The ones that aren't, aren't because their standing firm on our issues. The Supplements have important every day work issues this is where we shouldn't be in a hurry.

Don't you all know by now that Lil O'Brien is more concerned with satisfying the wishes of his mistress Carol Tomei and the shareholders than the Teamsters?

                  Did you guys forget 2013?

Officers silent ? What do you expect ? none of them want to risk their jobs ! There are many officers out there that are not happy with the way things are being handled but they see the dangers of speaking up . Oz has either hired or gone after all their “ opposition “ sending the message to everyone. O’Brien has no outside competition, he needs to look to his inside rivals some of whom are out preforming him against UPS.

Heard the same. There is one in particular that is none too happy about the contract talks.

The quote is from #18 in this thread 4/7/23 and it appears that's what's happened in many cases. Chairman pressured to meet on short notice without adequate preparation and withdraw proposals in order to get "done". Some issues promised to be raised in the national talks could have been handled by people closest to the issue. Its looking like this made-up deadline is working against us. Just my opinion.

The Master needed to be negotiated far in advance. Then the supplements negotiated to compliment it. This negotiating only months in advance is a huge disadvantage like you said because it is hurry up and get it done. The master is going to screw us. Mark my words.
